ASHI COURSES CONDUCTED BY CHEERS

CHEERS offers Safety Trainings on Emergency Care with International Certification. As an authorized-independent Training  Center by the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), we are legitimate to use their training programs and materials and certify our participants by our ASHI certified instructors. Our ASHI training programs conforms to the latest 2005 Guidelines on Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) with Science and Treatment Recommendations authored by the American Heart Association at competitive rates.
 
WHAT IS ASHI
 
The American Safety and Health Institute is an association of approximately 35,000 professional safety and health educators and more than 5,500 Training Centers around the world. ASHI Training Center membership covers a wide range of organizations including local emergency medical service, fire/rescue and law enforcement agencies, hospitals, universities, public school districts, community colleges, vocational schools, charitable foundations, municipal, state and federal governments, as well as public and private corporations and training companies
 
ASHI’s mission is to continually improve safety and health education by promoting high standards for members, principles of sound research for curriculum development and the professional development of safety and health Instructors worldwide.  
 

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS

Basic First Aid program participants learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of injuries and sudden illness. Crucial information about how to deal with emergencies like bleeding,shock, burns, strains, fractures, allergic reaction, diabetic and seizures is shared.
 
Intended Audience: Individuals who require or desire elementary first aid knowledge and skills with a focus on adults, children or both; including emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.
 
Prerequisite: None (CPR and AED recommended)
Certification Period: Up to 3 years

CPR-AED for the Community and Workplace provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective basic life support in an emergency.
 
Intended Audience: Persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills, such as emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, child care workers, teachers, parents and babysitters.
 
Prerequisite: None (Basic First Aid recommended)
 
Certification Period: Up to 2 years. Recommended Annually

Training pics
CPR Pro for the Professional Rescuer has been approved by the Continuing Education Coordinating Board for Emergency Medical Services (CECBEMS)* and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). The program has been also been approved by many state health agencies and may be used to meet the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization’s (JCAHO), now known as Joint Commision (JC) Resuscitation Standard.
 
Intended Audience: For healthcare providers, first responders, and professional rescuers in and outside the hospital or for those needing professional-level basic life support training as a job requirement
 
Prerequisite: None
 
Certification Period: Up to 2 years. Recommended Annually

FIRST RESPONDER
 
Brady Prentice Hall Health publishes the best-selling First Responder book on the market – First Responder by J. David Bergeron and Gloria Bizjak. Another approved book is Mosby’s Emergency First Responder: Making the Difference by Will Chapleau, EMT-P, RN, TNS.
 
Both of these textbooks thoroughly cover the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) National Standard Curriculum for First Responders.
 
Intended Audience: Firefighters, law enforcement officers, security personnel, public works employees, park rangers, customs agents, lifeguards, corporate Medical Emergency Response Teams and other interested persons.
 
Prerequisite: Professional Rescuer CPR (may be integrated) as required by state regulation or organizational policy
 
Certification Period: Up to 3 years

ASHI ACLS has been found acceptable for meeting requirements established by a wide variety of professional associations, councils, academies, and medical boards. The curriculum is consistent with widely accepted guidelines for professional level cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Intended Audience: Emergency personnel in intensive care or critical care departments and emergency medical providers.

Prerequisite: Training and/or education in basic cardiac rhythm analysis (ECG interpretation). Professional-level Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR/AED) required or included in ACLS course.

Certification Period: Up to 2 years. Recommended Annually
