TRAINING STANDARDS
CHEERS Corporation, in its continuous commitment to offer updated guidelines on trainings, uses original training materials and handbooks. For the theoretical aspect, we use DVD instructional videos and Power Point Presentations through the use of laptop computer and DLP projector coupled with wireless presenter.
For the skills or practical aspect, we introduce to our participants a vital link in the Chain of Survival, Early Defibrillation with the use of the state-of-the-art AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
We have a wide variety ofAED Trainer units from renowned AED Manufactures from the US and Europe such as Primedic AED Trainer, Defibtech Lifeline AED Trainer, Physio Control LIFEPAK CR Plus, Philips Heartstart and Heartstart FR2,Heartsine Samaritan AED Trainer, Cardiac Science AED Trainer and Access AED Trainer. Our wide range of AED training units familiarize our participants of the different AED units they may encounter in the field.
Each participant on our certified trainings is assured to have an actual hands-on experience with an AED Trainer unit.
Certain skills are not appropriate for student-to-student practice such as chest compressions (on CPR) and must be performed onCPR training manikins. Our Training manikins areLittle AnneandFamily Pack byLaerdal, CPR Prompt and the latestPrestan Professional Manikinswith Rate Monitor allows for instant feedback to both instructor and student regarding the rate of chest compression.For client on site CPR trainings, we use the ultra portable training manikin Actar D-fibseriesand the ultra portable, Mini Anne by Laerdal.
Training participants shall undergo both written and performance evaluation in all programs and are required to wear their personal protective equipment such as latex gloves, goggles, face shields and breathing apparatus such as pocket mask or bag-valve mask (BVM) during skills demo (a 2005 CPR and ECC Guidelines standard) and shall be encouraged to obtain on-the-job Practical Clinical Training at various hospitals, clinics and emergency rescue teams in order to promote and develop their cognitive and psychomotor skills.
